Language According to Article 81 of CIETAC Arbitration Rules, Where the parties have agreed on the language of arbitration, their agreement shall prevail. In the absence of such agreement, the language of arbitration to be used in the proceedings shall be Chinese or any other language designated by CIETAC having regard to the circumstances of the case. If a party or its representative(s) or witness(es) requires interpretation at an oral hearing, the Arbitration Court of CIETAC may provide an interpreter, or the party may employ its own interpreter. 3. The arbitral tribunal or the Arbitration Court of CIETAC may, if it considers it necessary, require the parties to submit a corresponding translation of their documents and evidence into Chinese or other languages.
