CIETAC  Hong Kong Arbitration Center

Scope of Application

The CIETAC resolves, by means of arbitration, disputes arising from economic and trade transactions of contractual or non-contractual nature. These disputes include:

 ●  international or foreign-related disputes;

 ●  disputes related to the Hong Kong SAR, the  Macao SAR and the Taiwan region; and

 ●  domestic disputes.

Cases to Be Administered by CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center

CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center, upon the date of establishment, shall administer the cases in which parties have agreed that disputes shall be submitted to CIETAC Hong Kong or CIETAC in Hong Kong according to CIETAC Arbitration Rules.

Also, CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center shall assist administering arbitral proceeding by providing e.g.,  appointment of arbitrators, hearing services, where parties have so agreed.

CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Model Arbitration Clause

Any dispute arising from or in connection with this contract shall be submitted to China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) Hong Kong Arbitration Center for arbitration which shall be conducted in accordance with the CIETAC’s arbitration rules in effect at the time of applying for arbitration. The arbitral award is final and binding upon both parties.
